Gunther often fails in due to a number of complications stemming from the schemes going awry in a very cartoonish manner. These complications include Gunther being injured in some way or his machinery failing to perform as it should. Still, Gunther typically emerges from these schemes with little or no lasting damage aside from his pride, aside from when his eyes are sometimes shown popping out of their sockets in fear. Gunther tends to be oblivious to the chaos caused by his actions and the trouble they cause for Kick and other people in which he constantly reminds them about what he can do. The fact that Gunther constantly fails to accomplish what he's supposed to do is one of the show's running gags. Meeseeks are small green creatures that serve a single purpose when called upon by their master. Meeseeks are basically willing to do anything their master asks of them, but they are untidy and unpredictable. Meeseeks are never recognized as individuals by anyone else, not even Gob Bluth. They exist only to carry out the wishes of the person who summoned them. Gunther's signature catchphrase is "I can do that", often accompanied by his trademark "I'm new here" line, which he says whenever he is first introduced, making him sound like a complete idiot. He also seems to enjoy saying "woops". He often uses this catchphrase after failing at something he attempts to do, usually due to his own incompetence or because of an unforeseen circumstance(or because someone else stops him). Gunther is introduced in "Meeseeks Crudely Measuring Disasters" as the head of maintenance at Walt Disney World. He is first seen attempting to fix the miniature Eiffel Tower that he had designed for Michael's birthday party (an irony since the Eiffel Tower's maiden voyage was in Paris, France).
